The Scotts at the Bingham School

The Scotts at the Bingham School” virtual exhibit tells the story of two brothers, James Edwin Scott (1859-1888) and Robert W. Scott (1861-1929), who attended the Bingham School in the 1870s.

The Bingham Schools were popular and respected preparatory schools for boys in Alamance and Orange counties for over 100 years.

“The Scott brothers made good use of their training at Bingham and they both enrolled at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1877.
